"Denise
is my older sister, so I've known her for 42+ years. In that
time, she's introduced me to a few things that I may not have
had any contact with. (Like any big sister worth her salt!) For
years she had been advising me to try yoga for my general health,
as well as for my back pain. In the summer of 2001 she brought
her class to Perrysburg, my home town, and I decided to give
it a try. I'm hooked! I had tried yoga at the Y and didn't get
much out of it, but she taught it in a way that really worked
for me.
Yoga
has helped me physically, but it has also helped me spiritually,
too. I am able to use what she has taught me in my daily life,
such as greater concentration and ability to focus, and general
calming techniques.
I'd
recommend her to anyone considering yoga. She does a nice job
with beginners, but also has a way with taking those of us who
have been doing it for a while to a greater awareness, so that
we can continue to grow.
She
also has a nice healing touch. She has done Reiki with me over
the years when I've had health issues, (or when I've been ready
to give birth) and she has a lot of healing energy. I've also
done three-in-one many times with her.
She
has an uncanny ability to help you pinpoint some of the problems
in your life, and can help you get a handle on them. I'll share
one particular time with you. My husband and I had been trying
to get pregnant for a few years, to no avail. We had been given
a small chance by our doctor to ever get pregnant. After working
with her, and having a eureka about myself through a dream, I
was able to release some fears I had about getting pregnant again.
Surprise, surprise, one month later I was pregnant. With twins
no less! Needless to say, Denise is my sister, and I love
her for a number of reasons. But that aside, I would recommend
her as a spiritual healer/teacher to anyone. She has been my
teacher and friend for many years, and I really respect her opinions
and abilities. Thank you, Den, for everything you have done for
me, and for all of the new ideas you have brought into my life!"
